Have you ever wondered why your life is not exactly how you want it to be? Maybe you’re not on your goal weight or maybe you’re stuck in a job you hate. Or, maybe stuck in a relationship with someone who you just don’t feel the same about anymore. Whatever your reason is to want to elevate your life here are 5 super easy ways to give that elevation a headstart.
1. Wake up Earlier
Yes, sleeping in feels delightful, but only for a little while. After you start to realize the benefits of waking up early, staying in bed feels dreadful. Waking up early is great for your body because it will force you to sleep earlier and therefore work with the nature of your body. It also gives you a headstart on your day. The best times to wake up are between 5:30 AM and 7:30 AM. People who wake up early tend to have better grades, higher-paying jobs, lower levels of stress, and a more proactive life altogether. I mean, it comes as no surprise that some of the most influential and successful people in the world are early risers.
2. Better Food Choices
You have probably heard this so many times before. Maybe, you’re even wondering how your eating may influence your elevation in life correct? Well, I’m just going to be extremely blunt here. Based on how you eat, you look. And no, I am not talking about being overweight or even underweight. But based on how you eat your skin looks, hair looks and even age looks. This includes staying hydrated. Drinking plenty of water can help flush toxins out of your system. Choosing better foods can help you reduce excess weight. It can also help you have clear and bright skin and even make your body smell better. There are even certain foods that can help lower stress levels and help with depression. When you look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, you’re unstoppable.
3. Get Moving
This is another great way for you to elevate your life. When you work your body, your body responds. Many times we don’t feel comfortable in our own skin. And is okay, it has happened to many that we wished we looked a certain way or were able to do certain movements with our bodies, such as splits or handstands. Well, FYI, all those people you see that look good or do all these movements didn’t really start normally like that. They put their bodies through work and it paid off, meaning, you can too. Working out for only 30 minutes daily can help your body by lowering your chances of cardiovascular disease, manage blood pressure, diabetes, and many other health concerns. But let’s be real, even though being healthy is literally our number one priority when working out, the real reason many of us even think about getting exercise is to look good. When you look good, you feel comfortable in your skin. It boosts your confidence and therefore causes you to be happier. When you are healthy your body looks and feels good. So yes, dread having to move, sweat, and get all sticky but love the feeling and looking amazing and it is so worth it.
4. Separation Leads to Elevation
I can honestly cringe at the number of times I’ve heard this. But as crazy as it may seem, it is very true. You can be part of the crowd in a concert or you can be the sole artist on the stage. Am I the only one that has ever gone on a trip with a group of people and have been super excited about the experience I believed I was going to have, just to end up upset because It was nothing like I expected? One of them caught a headache or didn’t want to go, or woke up late or there was only room for two in an excursion but there’s ten in your group?! Exactly my point. When there are so many people around you, you don’t think clearly. You end up spending more money and enjoying less. When you separate, you have more alone time to think. You have more time to have a conversation with yourself and get things you want and need to be done. You are able to be your most vulnerable self and still be able to become your greatest hero. This can be your chance to stop hanging out with people you feel you’re outgrowing. People who have different values and views as the ones you are now acquiring. This is also a chance to start separating yourself from a relationship you feel is not worth your time. It’s also a good time to start doing something you have been thinking about starting for a while like that youtube channel or small business or even go back into school. Sometimes being alone does not equate to being lonely, it may equate to elevation.
5. Accept that the Right Moment May Never Come
How many times have you waited for the right moment? Bought a gorgeous outfit to wear on a date night, just for it to get old in the closet. Or said to yourself that when you lose weight you’ll go on a vacation. Or, waiting for your kids to get old enough to understand what separation is, to get out of a bad relationship? These are just examples, but you know where I’m trying to go. First, learn that the right moment is only when you chose. Life doesn’t wait for you to decide when the right moment is. Life just happens while you live it. You can choose to live for right now or you can choose to regret it later. So wear that outfit you so adore, even if it’s not the “date night” you bought it for. Go on that vacation you so deserve, even if you haven’t lost the weight. You’re really going to pass on a great time just because you believe is not the moment you were waiting for? Go on, get out of that horrible relationship now and seek your happiness. Only you know your stand at life, just like only you know what your “right moment” was. I say your moment is right now, forget the naysayers and live it up for you.
I hope that this helped you in your journey to your elevation. Always remember that you are your biggest accomplishment, asset, as well as creator of your own happiness. No one and I mean, absolutely no one owes you your happiness, just like you don’t owe anyone their happiness. Make your life one worth living. Happiness is yours and is within you. You can only elevate when you learn to live for now and take a stand in your life. Being amazing only requires for you to show up. No one can be you and baby that makes you powerful.
