I know the title seems a little off, but seriously, I can’t be the only one that wants to live the most out of my life while I’m here. Here are my absolute must-do to fill my bucket list which I’m hoping is a very, very long time from now.
1. Go Sky Diving
I know most people you know will say the same thing but how many have or will actually do it? I heard from some people that went sky diving that while they were up in the air, they didn’t feel anything other than peace. Yes, some (most) were scared to jump but after, while in the air, they say they have never felt more alive. Wouldn’t it be cool to see the world from up so high?! https://www.longislandskydiving.com/skydiving-ny-prices/book-online/
2. Go in the “CAGE OF DEATH”
You can immerse yourself in literally what the name describes it as, a cage that is submerged in a pool where a saltwater crocodile is being fed. Yes, there may be more than 1 crocodile at the moment, but, hey with 1 one is more than enough. Here, you can come close and personal with what may be the closest relative to dinosaurs (other than chickens, lol). https://www.crocosauruscove.com/cage-of-death/
3. Swim with Whale Sharks
You can go swimming with the world’s largest, yet most gentle giants. These humongous creatures only eat plankton and shrimps because their teeth are so small, even though they can open their mouths super wide. So, you have nothing to worry about. Here, you can feel like a total mermaid surrounded by such magnificent beings. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, that must be tried. https://careydivecenter.com/whale-shark-tours-isla-mujeres/
4. Volunteer at the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand
These big babies will satisfy that need for affection and nature all in one. You can have a one-day-only pass as well, where you can go just for a visit. But to be honest, whether is only for a day or a week, being so close to such amazing beings is a gift all on its own. P.S. Elephants aren’t gray just ashy due to dust. https://www.elephantnaturepark.org/
5. Swim with JellyFishes
Jellyfish Lake is located on Eil Malk Island in Palau. Don’t worry I had never heard about Palau before wanting to swim with Jellyfishes. Blessed I found it because apparently, Palau has 70 lakes with marine life throughout the island. And the best thing is, you don’t have to worry about getting peed on because these jellyfishes don’t sting. Here, you’ll be surrounded by jellyfishes, this is an experience that one can’t just hear stories about, but actually live it in flesh to understand.
6. Go FlyBoarding.
Yes, I know, the balance that is needed to go flyboarding is insane, but hey, if others have done it, why can’t I?! This is one of those things I’ve been close enough to do, yet always chicken out. I won’t lie every single time I neglected doing it (3 times to be exact), I’ve completely regretted it. So, that is why it’s here in my 10 must-do things before dying. https://www.viator.com/Miami-tours/Flyboarding/d662-g17-c32075
7. Go Kayaking with Beluga Whales
Beluga whales are known as, “the sea canaries”, because out of all the whales they are the most vocal ones. These gorgeous creatures are not harmful to humans and in fact, find humans to be fascinating creatures. Their heads are very squishy. Although, one should be very careful when attempting to squish their heads because obviously not only can one be too rough, but we never know how they may react. Nonetheless, this is of course an experience I can’t wait to try. https://www.lazybearlodge.com/expeditions/kayaking
8. Fly on a Hot Air Balloon Ride
I would completely feel like the little boy in Disney’s movie Up, lol. But regardless, can’t wait to go on one. Luckily for me, the New Jersey’s Hot Balloon festival is just weeks away and I have tickets. The ride is based on the day and weather, but luckily, I will get on my hot air balloon if all seems perfect that day. https://www.balloonfestival.com/
9. Book a Getaway to a Castle
What better way to remind yourself of the princess you are than by sleeping like one of the royals. I don’t say stay a night because, to be honest, a castle is so big that just roaming the halls may take a few days. Many of these castles hold history as early as the 1700s. How amazing is it to actually experience history so close? Ireland’s castles are on my deff to-do list, but If you’re a lover of the spooky, Count Dracula’s Castle is also a marvelous castle to try. https://www.celticcastles.com/explore/castles/castle-hotels/ireland/?source=ch
10. Visit an African Wildlife Safari
I don’t think there’s a place more majestic than to be in the presence of nature, especially when it involves animals. When visiting an African safari, not only will you be able to see over 40 different animals in real life but also visit a whole different continent. I mean, is like fulfilling 2 different things off your bucket list at once. Here you can come close and personal to the king of the jungle and with giraffes. A total dream to live. https://www.tourradar.com/i/africa-safari
And we’ve reached the end of my small, yet very soul-fulfilling list of my to-do’s before I die. And yes, this list will get longer and shorter, as I fill it up with new things to do and check things off of my list. Hopefully, this list has added to some of your lists. There’s no better life than the one you designed and enjoyed fully.
xoxo, Dayanne.
